Due to our busy lifestyles, the majority of us (especially in the West) no longer live in harmony with nature. The modern way of life has created many imbalances within the body. The most common sign of those imbalances seem to be poor or low levels of energy. Below are six powerful ways that will give you an immediate energy boost.
- Have You Heard of the “Miracle Tree of Life”?
Moringa Oleifera is considered by many the most nutrient dense plant on Earth. For that reason, it is commonly called the “Miracle Tree of Life”. Taking one to two teaspoons of Moringa leaf powder in water or adding it to a smoothie, will immediately increase your energy. Although the plant is mostly grown in West Africa, Asia, and South America, there are a few Moringa growers in the Southern and Western states. Fresh Moringa leaves can be juiced and taken similarly to wheatgrass. You should know however that the “Miracle Tree” is much more powerful than wheatgrass (which is a hybrid) having a higher mineral and chlorophyll content.
When I first started experimenting with the plant back in 2008, I had quickly realized that it was one of the most powerful herbs that I had ever worked with. Since then, I have given Moringa to many people who struggle with low energy levels and they were truly amazed at the result they obtained and how quickly it came. To get the most benefit from this wonderful plant, it is best when taken on an empty stomach or one hour in between meals.
- Increase Your Iron Levels
The mineral iron is the main component of hemoglobin, which is responsible for carrying oxygen and other building blocks from the lungs and delivering them to the cells and tissues of your body. When the cells and tissues are properly oxygenated and nourished, we are able to maintain high energy levels on a consistent basis. The diet that most consume causes iron levels to be depleted in the body. Not only do we not get enough of the mineral but many of the processed foods that we eat literally strip away iron. The best way to obtain iron is through plants. That which grows out of the ground–fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and herbs–contains iron phosphate or organic iron. It is the optimal type of iron for humans. Plants use their roots to pull minerals from deep underground and convert them into bioavailable nourishment that can be easily absorbed and utilized by the body. Some of the best herbal sources of iron are Yellow Dock root, Chickweed, Burdock root, Dandelion root, and Stinging Nettle. You can find those herbs in dry form (cut and sifted) at your local herbal store or buy them online. They can be taken individually or together, in capsule form or as tea.
- Drink Living Juice
Live juices are another excellent way of boosting your energy levels. Because juice has practically no fiber, all of its minerals and phytonutrients are readily available; they enter your bloodstream almost instantaneously. It is extremely important to assure that the juice is fully alive. That only includes juices that have a shelf life no longer than five days. Unfortunately, due to various regulations, you will not find such juices in supermarkets or even health foods stores. Luckily, there are more and more juice bars opening up in almost every large and mid-size city that offer this type of product. If you live in Chicago, visit Earth’s Healing Cafe–a juice bar I opened in 2011. We have two locations–downtown and Ravenswood on the city’s North Side and we only use highest quality organic produce available. However, regardless of whether there are juice bars in your area or not, I highly recommend owning a juicer. It is an investment that will pay off. Remember: your health is your true wealth. Some of the energy boosting ingredients that your juice should include are dandelion greens, burdock root, beetroot, spinach, kale, and swiss chard. For the base, feel free to use any fruit and/or vegetable that is high in water content such as apple, pear, cucumber, celery, or orange.
- Practice Conscious Breathing
The average person takes about 20,000 breaths each day. One of the reasons why our energy is low is because most of us are not conscious of our breathing. The breath is what oxygenates the body. It is also one of the ways in which we ingest “prana” or “chi”–the life force or vibrational electromagnetic energy of nature that sustains all life. Conscious breathing, similarly to conscious eating, is necessary to assure that our body is properly nourished.Besides learning to be fully conscious of your breath, when you notice that your vital forces are low, perform a simple breathing exercise. Get in a comfortable position, take a deep breath slowly and hold it in for a few seconds. Then quickly exhale the air through your mouth. As you inhale, visualize tiny white particles or light entering your lungs. Do it until your body becomes vibrant and you feel revitalized.
- Absorb the Electric Energy of The Sun
Solar energy is an intense and powerful force. The Sun is what powers our bodies each and every day. Just like we can learn how to eat and breath consciously, we can also learn how to consciously derive the Sun’s energy. This energizing technique is best to perform when the Sun is out. However with some practice, you will learn to absorb solar energy even when the Sun is behind the clouds or on a gray, rainy day. In this exercise, you will be absorbing energy through your pineal gland or pineal organ.
Simply go outside or stand by the window, close your eyes and visualize the electric solar energy entering your body through the point right between your eyes. Imagine the electric energy traveling though the crown of your head to the bottom of your feet. Using the power of your mind, you may direct this energy to a specific organ or spread it evenly throughout the entire body. In the beginning, it usually takes anywhere between 2 to 10 minutes to fully energize your body using this technique. With some practice, you will get to the point when you will notice results after only a few seconds.
- Harness The Magnetic Energy of The Earth
The magnetic energy of the Earth is a more subtle type of energy than the electric energy of the Sun. To derive the Earth’s magnetic energy, go to your backyard or any area that has grass or soil. Take off your shoes, close your eyes, and begin visualizing that you are “sucking up” the Earth’s energy directly from the ground. Imagine the energy as a light moving upwards from the bottom of your feet all the way to the crown of your head. While the energy is traveling through your body, you can direct it to different parts and organs using the power of your mind.Another way of absorbing the Earth’s energy is by swimming in a natural body of water (a pool will not work) or simply walking barefoot on the ground. Although it may take a little longer to feel the results, it is a wonderful practice that should be performed as often as possible.
