The Sun doesn’t make us sick. What it does is brings out (and onto the surface–our skin) that which is already within us. In a sense, the Sun works similarly to money, which doesn’t corrupt us but if we are corrupted on the inside, it will amplify that very quality. The Sun doesn’t harm people. Just like money, it doesn’t change people. Both, however, expose our internal nature. People suffer health complications after exposure to the sun-rays due to the emotional and mental toxicity they carry within them.
Sun-related illness is but the internal poisons in the form of fear, anger, grief, shame, guilt, jealousy, envy, frustration, despair, sadness, and doubt being brought out from the depths of the cells and manifest externally. Of course, the aforementioned emotional and mental states are completely natural, however, because many do not know how to skillfully manage and handle those states, they become victims of them.
Physical toxicity in the form of heavy metals, plastics, food additives, synthetic hormones, and pesticides, although not as significant, is also a factor on how our body responds to the powerful solar energy. The exception here is sunscreens which are a direct threat to our health. On the more subtle level, a sunscreen is applied when we are afraid (subconsciously) of our inner “dirt” being exposed as we put our naked bodies in the Sun.
On the opposite side, a person who is relatively free from mental and emotional toxicity will be energized and revitalized by the star’s magnificent energy, and his or her internal organs, glands, and fluids will be repaired. Such a person will find the Sun to be a powerful healer. In many cases, even when the individual carries physical poisons within himself/herself, his/her mindset and emotional state will neutralize the poisons and allow the Sun to remove them from his/her physical body without undesirable effects.
Nothing outside of ourselves is to be blamed for our personal struggles as everything starts within. Sickness and disease, as well as good health and wellbeing are only the externalization or outer reflection of our internal nature which is based on our thoughts, feelings, and believes.
