To have a successful relationship, you must first learn how to be alone. What makes you think that you can spend your entire life with someone if you have difficulties spending 10 minutes with your own self in the state of meditation? If you don’t know your self, it will be impossible for you to get to know your partner. Disagreements and conflict will eventually erupt. Bad feelings will arise. The same battles that you fight within yourself will be externalized ruining your union. I encourage you to first learn how to be alone; how to sit in quietness with your eyes closed and your mind turned off and become the observer. That observer is your true self — the real you. Only after that state becomes natural to you; only after you have mastered the art of being alone, are you ready to peacefully coexist long-term with another human being.
