Natural radiation from the cosmos (gamma rays), the sun (visible light, ultraviolet [UV], and short-wave infrared), terrestrial sources (rocks, soil, etc.), and our bodies (which contain radioactive potassium isotopes) are all examples of radiation that does not produce adverse bioeffects. In fact, natural radiation is beneficial for humans. Artificial or man-made radiation, however, is deleterious to living organisms.
The Radiation Protection Protocol delineates a process for protecting the cells and organs from artificial radiation (both ionizing and non-ionizing) and reversing radiation-induced cell damage.
